WHY WE CURATED IT:
You’d be hard-pressed to find other natural stone-dialled watches for even close to this price. What more, a less-common light blue lapis lazuli with as much character as seen here. Milus is a Swiss watch company that has been through a tumultuous past during the Quartz Revolution of the 70s, much like many of their counterparts. Conceived as an accessible Swiss brand from 1919, even they could not weather the onslaught of cheap quartz watches from Asia half a century later. Under a plethora of different owners who tried different things to stay afloat, there have been a number of firsts under their belt, awards at international levels, as well as white-label production for brands like Bucherer. The brand persists today, under its latest owner, but it’s their older pieces like this that win our heart. Wears beautifully and we could gaze at that dial for days!
CONDITION:
8.5/10, with some signs of wear. The dial is intact with natural stone inclusions and “imperfections” but importantly, there are no signs of breakage. New aftermarket strap and buckle, with the original Milus buckle included.
