WHY WE CURATED IT:
The De Ville line holds a special place in Omega’s history. Originally a sub-collection within Seamasters, it diverged into a standalone line by 1967, offering more refinement vs the brand’s increasingly sport-oriented catalogue. Over time, it also became the chosen platform for key technical milestones, such as Omega’s first co-axial escapement and first anti-magnetic central tourbillon. As well as more avant garde, sculptural shapes within Omega’s catalogue, such as this seldom-seen, blocky yet rounded rectangular silhouette. With no indices, instead relying on a horizontally-brushed two-tone quadrant dial to mark the cardinal positions. Very dynamic, going from black to medium greys to light greys depending on the light. Elegant, masculine, dressy and sporty all at once! The case is in fantastic condition with the much-loved Cal. 625 manual-winder beating inside!
