WHY WE CURATED IT:
Seamaster Cosmics are perhaps the most overlooked and best value sub-models of Seamasters, especially when equipped with the dependable 56x-series calibres (shared with chronometer Constellations). Cosmics came about during the Space Race of the 60s and embodied the future-looking design zeitgeist of the era. Here we have a very nice one in a “C” cushion-style “turtle” case that’s slightly larger than a very similar 166.023 we had earlier this year. With a brushed silver dial that has taken on a warm tropical patina. A wonderfully versatile, wearable automatic daily, Also a characterful vintage Omega and a strap monster with the 20mm lug width. Serviced and warrantied for 6 months.
CONDITION:
8.5/10, with shallow signs of wear. Original Omega-signed crystal is spotless to the naked eye. Hands and markers have small signs of aging and the dial has some mild surface unevenness.
