Omega Seamaster Cosmic "Meister" Auto Ref. 166.022 (circa 1960s)

WHY WE CURATED IT:
Seamaster Cosmics are overlooked, best-value sub-models of Seamasters, especially with legendary 5xx-series calibres (commonly shared with, or iterated upon for chronometer Constellations). Cosmics came about during the 60s Space Race and embodied the future-looking zeitgeist of the era. One of our favourites is this one with a cushion case and daring geometric lugs. But there’s a collectible bonus… this unit is double-signed “Meister” by the prestigious Swiss jeweller that secured permission to share dial space on an Omega. The warm silver sunburst dial with striking grey mins track, alongside the case shape, completes the late 60s/early 70s feel. You can’t wear this without feeling the vibe of a brave bygone era. Serviced and warrantied for 6 months.

CONDITION:
7.5/10, with visible use, but appears unpolished with clean sharp lines and finishing transitions. Vintage aficionados who dig honest, original condition will appreciate this. Original Omega-signed crystal has some small marks visible only under magnification. Dial, markers and hands have signs of aging consistent with half a century of aging. Caseback engravings clear. New aftermarket strap and buckle. Movement in excellent health, serviced and warrantied, accurate to ±10 secs/day averaged from 5 timegrapher positions.
