WHY WE CURATED IT:
Gerald Genta famously designed the Royal Oak, Nautilus and Polerouter. But his work included other course-altering gems like this. When Omega needed a new direction to start the 80s, Genta was enlisted. This was a landmark for head-turning design and materials innovation, evolving into the “pre-Bond” SMP 200M and beyond. Features an integrated bracelet and 2mm thick 18k gold inlay, so seamlessly fused into the steel case it’s downright sorcery. How Omega did this remains a secret to this day. This is our 4th Polaris, in the sublime-wearing 32mm (wears like a 35) ultra-thin version. With a GMT complication that will serve you brilliantly if you need to keep an eye on another timezone for family/work/travel. CONDITION:
7.5/10; visible signs of use (scuffs, hairlines, a few small nicks). But where it really counts (what you stare at)… the crystal, dial and hands are pristine, tritium lume plots intact, respond to UV correctly for age, with nice warm patina. Caseback has deep, crisp engravings with intact sticker. Bracelet has a tiny bit of stretch. Movement is quartz-accurate with full working GMT function.
