Man, we love 5-digit neovintage Rolexes… more modern internally than 4-digit refs, with all the charm of their older brethren. A perfect nexus between vintage vibes and modern dependability. The joy of 5-digit refs are not new to savvy collectors; just that they’re focused on Datejusts, Submariners and GMT Master IIs. Pieces like this 15210 offer exceptional value and are less expected picks, and all the better for it! Mechanically identical to 5-digit Datejusts/Submariners and even into 6-digit refs, but with a sleeker case. Features the very last of Rolex’s engine-turned bezels with more subtle light play, more durability and a sportier, more purposeful vibe. The deep, slightly desaturated navy blue dial is gorgeous, with a sumptuous presentation (what is it about blue dials that look so luxurious) and super versatile without being boring. Comes with box and papers! Love love love this piece!
CONDITION:
8.5/10, with light hairlines and micro-nicks on some edges. Sharp lines and thick lugs indicate little to no prior polishing. The case sides have accumulated a light haze from honest careful wear over 30+ years. Rolex signed crown, with a tiny chip on the coronet. Crystal, dial, hands and indices pristine. Lume plots intact and respond correctly to UV for age. Oyster bracelet has minimal stretch and a small dent on the clasp. Movement excellent with to-spec power reserve, strong amplitude, low beat error and accurate to ±5 secs/day averaged from 6 timegrapher positions.
