WHY WE CURATED IT:
An 80s icon in watch history! TAG’s “new-dawn” release after buying Heuer in 1986, a bold headturner to mark a new era. Launched as its flagship, the S/el (“Sports Elegance”) stunned the world with never-before-seen organic fluid lines. Designed for wetsuits and business suits alike. So successful, it became the watch one thinks of when thinking “TAG Heuer”. Really, how often is a watch (and brand) instantly identified by… a bracelet? It evolved into the 2000s “Link” series which flattened and squared off the bracelet, but the original still has more OG charm. This version sports the confident, full gold bling of the era, with a lovely ivory dial bearing the second series’ “professional” moniker. Stellar condition on this specimen. Gordon Gekko approved.
CONDITION:
9/10, great condition with minimal hairlines. Plating is 99% intact with slight, barely noticeable wearing at the corners of the clasp. Pristine crystal, gilt indices, hands. Dial is 100% clean. No bracelet stretch to speak of. Movement in excellent condition and quartz-accurate. Faux leather display box deteriorated from age.
