WHY WE CURATED IT:
3 reasons we love this Tank. That less-common full sterling silver, rhodium-plated case. Blue roman numerals/printing (reminds us of the CPCP Tortue Monopoussoir in white gold that costs 2000% more LOL). And of course, Must de Cartier Tanks are Cartier’s accessible versions of their Tank Louis Cartier, the most iconic luxury dress watch of all time. This is a fairly recent version that benefits from a hardy sapphire crystal and is offered here in stellar condition with a full set comprising original Cartier strap and buckle, box, literature and warranty certificate. A perfect entry into the world of Cartier, and totally reasonable if you never felt the need to venture further after this.
CONDITION:
9.5/10, barely any signs of use. Crystal, hands, cabochon are all pristine. Swiss-only lacquered dial is spidered, indicating an original dial, not replaced. The spidering is probably the most beautiful we’ve seen… impossibly fine and even across the entire dial and only visible under a loupe and bright lights. To the naked eye, it’s immaculate. Caseback has deep, sharp engravings/hallmarks. New aftermarket strap. Original Cartier strap included (used, with plenty of life remaining). Original Cartier buckle has minimal hairlines. Movement healthy and quartz-accurate.
