WHY WE CURATED IT:
This squircle cushion-cased watch is too cool! We love its “Jetsons” aesthetic; how the 60s/70s imagined the future to be (but instead we got Trump and Tinder). Wears with a bold wrist presence and a retro-futuristic architectural feel. We even get some Darth Maul vibes from the dial. Shaped, sculptural watches are in vogue now but it’s not a new thing, it’s just a return. A well preserved example from the prolific Admiral line with a high-beat calibre (smoooooth seconds sweep ? ) originally made for the famed Ultra Chron line.
CONDITION:
8.5/10, with light but visible signs of use. Appears unpolished. Radial brushing and sharp case lines remain. Overall clean crystal and dial with minimal tiny flecks that show up under intense light. Clean indices. Tritium lume plots intact with creamy patina, lume plots on hands have small age spots. Original crown. Aftermarket strap has signs of wear but with plenty of use remaining. Deployant buckle has surface wear, otherwise fully functional and robust. Movement performing great with good self-winding efficiency, to-spec power reserve and accuracy within +/-3 secs/day in dial up position.
