WHY WE CURATED IT:
An exquisitely proportioned Longines with a warm silver sunburst domed dial, strong lugs and classic case shape. Not much is known about this model, but its design and styling is very much a product of late-50s design sensibility, but produced in the 60s. The aesthetic is reminiscent of rival Omega models of that era but there’s something about the proportions of all the details here that are absolutely spot on. We love the deeply textured dial, which creates a high contrast presentation depending on angle, light and shadow. And the black inlay on the indices, which aid legibility and pop. Equipped with the well respected Cal 284, regarded by some as one of the finest Longines manual-winding calibres ever made. A beautiful, evocative and versatile timepiece that’s vying for wrist time as your solid daily vintage piece!
