WHY WE CURATED IT: A lot to like here. An angular “Tank”, contrasted with a circular stepped inner dial. Roman numerals at the cardinal positions only. Understated presentation overall from an entirely brushed case except for polished shoulder chamfers (to emphasise the case lines) and underside (because only you earned the privilege to enjoy that bling). Exceptionally wafer-thin on the wrist due to that mere sliver of a mid-case. Size and wearing experience somewhere between a modern Tank Must LM and a Tank Basculante 2390. Seems broader than both (it’s not) due to the wide strap fitment. Marketed as “Longines Wittnauer” when the two brands were still partnered to address the US market, and touted as an affordable alternative to an 18k Euro-market Longines equivalent. Strange, but at least the affordable part still holds true!
CONDITION: 9/10, with very few signs of use. Edges and brushing remain crisp with just a few tiny hairlines and microscopic nicks. Overall presentation on the wrist is sharp. Crystal, dial and hands are pristine. Brand new aftermarket strap and buckle. Movement in excellent health and is quartz-accurate.
