WHY WE CURATED IT:
The De Ville line holds a special place in Omega history. Originally a sub-collection of Seamasters, it diverged into a standalone range by 1967, offering a refined diversification from the brand’s increasingly sport-oriented catalog. Over time, it even became the chosen platform for key technical milestones, such as Omega’s first co-axial escapement and first anti-magnetic central tourbillon. This particular seldom-seen Auteuil is from a period when Omega was exploring new materials and finishes. Matte black PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) was used on the case sides for durability, and together with a super-versatile 20mm lug width, brings a modern touch to what is otherwise a very classical design. With a porcelain-like white dial, elongated Roman numerals and embedded golden markers, the vintage vibes are still very present.
