WHY WE CURATED IT:
The De Ville line holds a special place in Omega history. Originally a sub-collection within Seamasters, it diverged into a standalone line by 1967, offering more refinement vs the brand’s increasingly sport-oriented catalogue. Over time, it even became the platform for many Omega firsts, such as their first co-axial escapement and first anti-magnetic central tourbillon. Within dress De Villes, we can’t get enough of these ultra-thin “Ellipses”. Here we have an absolutely beautiful example in a versatile steel case in spectacular condition, with a gorgeous anthracite sunburst dial. The pushbutton-setting movement negates the need for a line-disrupting crown. With its original Omega lizard skin strap and Omega buckle. At once classical, modern, minimalist, elegant, and versatile. Over 40 years old, but one would never know looking at it on your wrist.
CONDITION:
9.5/10, with hardly any signs of use. Crystal, dial, hands, markers are all pristine. Original Omega strap in used but excellent condition, with its original Omega buckle. Movement is healthy and quartz-accurate.
