WHY WE CURATED IT:
The De Ville line holds a special place in Omega history. Originally a sub-collection of the Seamaster range, it diverged into a standalone line by 1967, offering refined pieces within the brand’s increasingly sport-oriented catalog. Over time, it even became the platform for many Omega firsts, such as their first co-axial escapement and first anti-magnetic central tourbillon. Within dress De Villes, we can’t seem to get enough of these ultra-thin “Ellipses”. Here we have another variation with a delightful “rope” bezel. With a pushbutton-setting movement that negates the need for a line-disrupting crown. At once classical, modern, minimalist, elegant, and versatile. Over 40 years old, but one would never know just looking at it on your wrist.
CONDITION:
9/10, with minimal signs of use, except for a few scratches near the time-setting button and a small dent on the dial surface at the 12 o’clock marker (noticeable only at certain angles when the light catches it just right). Crystal, dial, hands, markers are all clean with just one tiny age spot on the minute hand. Aftermarket buckle and new aftermarket strap. Movement is healthy and quartz-accurate.
