WHY WE CURATED IT: My first ever vintage Rolex was an OysterDate Precision; a model I continue to keep an eye out for until today. It’s the epitome of the simple, no-nonsense, dependable, understated Oyster that used to be the essence of a basic Rolex; capturing the spirit of an era that formed the success of Rolex. This is the 31mm version, dubbed “boy’s size” back in the day but a super versatile unisex option in today’s context. Very hard-to-find original champagne T Swiss T dial with gold hands and indices (most of this variant appearing on the market are service replacements). Absolutely exquisite on the wrist, full of the vintage understated heyday Rolex feels and not what’s considered a “typical” Rolex today. In fantastic condition and overhauled, with a 6-month mechanical warranty.
CONDITION: 9/10 with shallow signs of wear. Some age spots on the hands but crystal, dial, and indices are clean. One small spot of corrosion on the bracelet but on the surface, with no structural consequence. Bracelet is a late-stage original Rolex solid side-links upgrade, as is common since many riveted/folded link ones are fairing poorly by now. Movement overhauled and in excellent health with good power reserve, strong amplitude, low beat error and accurate to ±10 secs/day averaged from 6 timegrapher positions.
