The Seiko Sportsmatic 6619 movement was introduced around October 1964, aligning with the Tokyo Olympics. It belongs to the 66XX series, which evolved from the Caliber 410 that launched the Sportsmatic line in 1963. Notably, the 6619 was Seiko’s first model to feature a quickset date mechanism activated by pressing the crown. What i love about this model is that the dial has aged into a champagne colour with all the printing still intact. Condition is excellent for a 50 year old watch.
watch has no dial corrosion and the acrylic condition is amazing. watch has just recently been serviced just 10 days back. comes attached with an after market buckle and strap
