WHY WE CURATED IT:
Under-appreciated series from Tiffany & Co., clearly inspired by Daniel Roth’s double-ellipse cases which debuted shortly prior. There is unconfirmed speculation that Roth may have been involved, given their relationship which began in the 80s when Tiffany was the sole American retailer for Roth-era Breguet. Whatever the link, these Mark Coupes iterate on Roth cases with their own stepped details and finishing, and improved fit from curved casebacks, crystals, and prominently downturned lugs. Substantial presence thanks to strong lugs and exquisite profile details that are architectural in their layering. On the wrist, feels dressy yet sporty, luxurious yet understated. This particular variation comes with a classical small seconds subdial for added visual interest and the fantastic, slinky 7-link bracelet.
