WHY WE CURATED IT:
If you’ve been following us, you’ll know our soft spot for vintage UG. Once a high-end brand, decimated by the Quartz Revolution, but recently acquired by Breitling and on the verge of resurrection. Beyond collector favourites like Polerouters and Tri-Compax, there’s a deep well of elegant time-only pieces to be discovered at amazing value. Like this beautiful, rarely-seen ultra-thin dress piece with a striking beaded bezel and sunburst anthracite dial. Produced in a late-stage UG era when they were in if-you-can’t-beat-them mode. Some variations of this watch were named “Altesse” (French for “highness/royalty”) and comes from an era when quartz was cutting edge rather than cheap, with a high-end in-house calibre decorated and finished appropriately. In near-NOS condition, full set with papers.
CONDITION:
9.5/10, almost NOS with barely any signs of use. Crystal, dial, printing, indices and hands are pristine. Just absolutely amazing for a 40-year-old piece! Caseback still has the protective sticker. Brand new aftermarket strap provided, along with the original UG strap (used) and UG buckle. Movement in excellent health and is quartz-accurate.
