Description & Condition report: One of my curation from my last trip to japan. A never been worn Timex Manual winding from the 60s. How did a watch survive 60 years without being worn? i also dont know, but here it is! The only prime days of Timex before they fell into the pressure of the quartz crisis and starting making evertyhing in quartz, hence this is an iconic piece of history when Timex was a real player in the world of watchmaking.
I extremely love this piece because at first glance the dial looks like black, however it actually has a very minor aubergine purple tint to it (as shown on the last photo). i believe this purple is due to the oxidisation of the dial throughout time, which is gorgeous!
This piece is essentially like-new condition, with minimal signs of use. original shipping cardboard holder is together with the watch. Max wrist of 16.5cm.
