WHY WE CURATED IT:
A gorgeous 90s piece in a classical style, with Cartier flexing its creativity and ability to take inspiration from myriad sources, way beyond Tanks and Santos. The name Diabolo comes from ancient Chinese juggling apparatus and refers to the shape of the crown, which is complemented by the half-sphere globes at each corner of the officer lugs. This is one of those watches that transform once on the wrist, and it’s absolutely exquisite. The case is solid 18K gold and the dial is porcelain-white with chemin de fer and blued Breguet hands. This is the large version, marketed as 32mm although it wears significantly larger (like a 35mm). In spectacular condition and a real connoisseur standout within a sea of the usual Cartier suspects. Priced at one of the lowest in the world!
