WHY WE CURATED IT:
Seldom-seen version with small roman cardinal markers, alternating vertical/horizontal brushed sectors (two-tone effect at angles), and chemin de fer track on the dial edge (usually close to the centre). A very 20s/30s art deco vibe! It’s thought Cartier made accessible versions of the Tank Louis Cartier, the most iconic dress watch ever, because everyone “Must” own a Tank (hence “Must de Cartier”). More affordable, but still in luxurious 925 silver with thick 20 micron gold plating. Serviced and restored by Cartier with 2-year movement warranty from 2024. Cartier service papers, 2x strap, 2x buckle and Cartier box included.
CONDITION:
8.5/10, with light hairlines. Crystal clean except for light scuff near 12 oclock, visible only under magnification and intense light from certain angles. Dial, hands, crown, cabochon are immaculate. Caseback has sharp engravings/hallmarks, covered by Cartier service sticker. Original Cartier strap is worn but original Cartier buckle in great condition with light hairlines. We’re including a new aftermarket black leather strap and Cartier-style buckle. Movement is quartz-accurate; serviced and battery changed by Cartier in 2024 with a 2-year warranty.
