WHY WE CURATED IT:
We’ve had many Longines Octagons before, in different sizes, dials, lug styles and aspect ratios. They’ve been very popular, often selling out quickly. In this drop alone, we have two for you to choose from. This particular version has a lacquered black gilt Roman numeral dial, in the case variant that’s longer than it is wide, with crab claw/rear-hooded lugs, feuille hands, cabochon-ed crown and broader strap. Also, as it’s a later iteration of the Octagons, you get the bonus of a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. An exquisitely classy piece in spectacular condition!
CONDITION:
9.5/10, with barely visible signs of use. Lacquered dial is crack-free. Gilt printing, hands and crown cabochon are pristine. Crystal has microscopic specks visible only under a loupe. Longines buckle and Longines strap are used but with plenty of life remaining. Just in case you want a new strap, we’re throwing in an aftermarket one with its own buckle. Caseback has crisp engravings and still partially covered with the factory sticker. Movement healthy with to-spec power reserve, low beat error and accuracy within ±25 secs/day averaged from 5 timegrapher positions.
