Omega De Ville “Ellipse” Ref. 111.0148 (circa 1979)
Omega De Ville “Ellipse” Ref. 111.0148 (circa 1979)
WHY WE CURATED IT:
A beautiful vintage Omega possibly inspired by the famed PP Ellipse, with a versatile white dial and elegant elongated roman numerals. Utterly perfect proportions on the wrist. On the dressier side of things but substantial enough to easily double as a simple, elegant daily. Crystal sits proud of the case with a high box profile and subtle dome for a very vintage vibe. Sports a manual-winding movement and this unit comes with original Omega strap, original Omega buckle and original Omega box. Truly lovely and just had to be procured.
CONDITION:
8/10, with visible signs of use. Original signed crown, original Omega Hesalite crystal with logo etching. Crystal has very fine hairlines visible only with a loupe. Dial has mild staining on the edge near the III marker, and some tiny microscopic age spots (largest of which is on the left of the XI marker). Original Omega strap, buckle are visibly used but entirely usable. Original Omega box is almost flawless. Movement in great health with excellent power reserve and accurate to +/-10 secs/day in dial up position.
