WHY WE CURATED IT:
We’ve had several of these Omega “Ellipse” before in different variations and it’s understandable why they’re so popular. A classic, elegant case shape with sublime proportions and wearability with lovely dials. This is perhaps my favourite variant for its proud boxed and gently domed crystal for very vintage vibes. Overall dimensions substantial enough to rock as either a dressy or daily piece. In excellent condition overall, with a simple and dependable manual-winding calibre that performs as good as it looks. An unbeatable package at this price.
CONDITION:
9/10, with minimal signs of use. Overall sharp presentation and full of lustre. Original Omega-signed crown and crystal. Dial, markers and hands are as pristine as can be. Crystal has very fine hairlines visible only with a loupe. New aftermarket strap with original Omega ellipse-shaped buckle, cohesively matching the case. Movement fit to case has been improved with slight bolstering, in great health with to-spec power reserve, excellent amplitude, low beat error and accurate to +/-10 secs/day averaged from 6 timegrapher positions.
