WHY WE CURATED IT: We’ve had several of these Omega “Ellipse” before in different variations and it’s understandable why they’re so popular. A classic, elegant case shape with sublime proportions and wearability with lovely dials. This one goes a little further with a sharp stepped bezel and vertically brushed midcase band for more intricate visual interest. Deep vertically brushed dial goes from light silver to mid grey depending on the angle. Quartz calibre has a travel-time feature with an independent hour hand for quick time setting without changing the minutes when you land at your destination. A beautiful and functional package that’s a steal at this price.
CONDITION: 9/10, with some hairlines and appears to never have been polished (crisp lines and finishing transitions). Sapphire crystal is clean. Dial has tiny aging on the edges. Hands and indices pristine. Caseback still has remnants of the protective sticker. Used original Omega lizard strap has plenty of life remaining with an innovative patented keeper-less tuck buckle (original Omega). Movement in excellent health and quartz-accurate.
