Omega De Ville “Tonneau” Roman Champagne Dial Ref. 111.0139 (circa 1978)

WHY WE CURATED IT:
The De Ville line holds a special place in Omega history. Originally a sub-collection of the Seamaster range, it diverged into a standalone line by 1967, offering refined pieces within the brand’s increasingly sport-oriented catalog. Over time, it even became the platform for many Omega firsts, such as their first co-axial escapement and first anti-magnetic central tourbillon. Here’s a De Ville with a broader footprint on the wrist. This case amalgamates many shapes—tonneau, TV, cushion, “Tortue”, sitting right in the middle of all of them. But with the added bonus of being ultra-slim for a mechanical piece, and a squircle champagne dial with black elongated romans and leaf hands. Topped with an Omega-signed, boxed and gently domed crystal. Beautifully vintage and authentic in its charm. Serviced and warrantied for 6 months.

CONDITION:
8/10, with tiny wabi-sabi signs of use. Gold plating has started to oxidise slightly, which we can remove upon request but we would recommend leaving it as authentic aging unique to this piece. All depends on your experience level with vintage appreciation. Original Omega-signed Hesalite crystal and crown. Dial has minor edge aging, with pristine hands and markers. New aftermarket strap and buckle. Movement serviced with a 6-month mechanical warranty. To-spec power reserve, good amplitude and beat error and accurate to ±20 secs/day averaged from 6 timegrapher positions.
