WHY WE CURATED IT:
Seamaster Cosmics are perhaps the most overlooked and best value sub-models of Seamasters, especially when equipped with the legendary 5xx-series calibres (commonly shared with, or iterated upon for chronometer Constellations). Cosmics came about during the Space Race of the 1960s and embodied the future-looking design zeitgeist of the era. Here we have a very nice one in a compact “C” cushion-style “turtle” case with superb wearability. The Omega-signed crystal is dramatically boxed and domed, revealing a medium silver-grey brushed dial with contrasting minutes track. Wonderfully versatile and looks fantastic with various straps, easily paired for either dressy or sporty vibes as your mood dictates. Serviced and warrantied for 6 months.
CONDITION:
8.5/10, with minimal signs of use. Original Omega-signed crystal is nearly spotless save for some microscopic marks visible only under magnification. Dial, hands and indices have some patina and scratches but nothing glaring… properly vintage and honest for age. Clear engravings remain on the caseback. Used Italian aftermarket strap has plenty of life remaining. Movement in good health, serviced and warrantied, accurate to ±20 secs/day averaged from 5 timegrapher positions.
