The Neatnik watches were launched by Seiko’s Alba brand in 1999. The term “Neatnik” refers to someone who is consistently neat and organized, and the watch was promoted with the slogan “Are you neat?”.
The earlier models are easy to recognize due to their compact dials and aluminum cases. This particular piece is one of the square-shaped designs featuring a thick case. The cases carry the label h.a.o.c, which stands for hard anodic oxidation coating — a reference to the production method. What makes this model stand out is its black anodized case and strap, which is less common.
