WHY WE CURATED IT:
Under-appreciated series from Tiffany & Co., clearly inspired by Daniel Roth’s double-ellipse cases which debuted shortly prior. There is unconfirmed speculation that Roth may have been involved, given their relationship that began in the 80s when Tiffany was the sole American retailer for Roth-era Breguet. Whatever the link, these Mark Coupes iterate on Roth cases with their own stepped details and finishing, and improved fit from curved casebacks, crystals, and prominently downturned lugs. Thin but with substantial presence, thanks to strong lugs and exquisite details that must be experienced in person to fully appreciate. CONDITION:
9.5/10, with minimal signs of use, just a sprinkling of shallow hairlines. The crystal, dial and hands are pristine. Caseback still has the protective sticker and crisp engravings. Fitted with new aftermarket strap and original Tiffany buckle, but the worn original strap is included. Movement in excellent health and is quartz-accurate.
